Saying Goodbye to the Past-A Peek-a-Boo-Project

It has been a year of looking back to the1950’s with my collection of vintage 1950’s Jack and Jill and Children Activities I was taken back to these childhood memories.

These magazines feature heartwarming stories, fun activities, and charming graphics that can bring out the child in all of us.

The covers of the magazines showcase delightful graphics that evoke pleasant memories of the past.

The illustrations inside are equally lovely.

Our last look at some of the activities found in these magazines.

The included calendars are fantastic and can even double as coloring pages.

March Memories-A Peek-a-Boo Project

There is a proverb I remember from my childhood, “March comes in like a lion butleaves like a lamb” we would make lions and lambs out of paper plates decorated with construction paper and cotton balls.

My second favorite hoilday is in March-St. Patrick’s Day.

Revisiting my collection of vintage 1950’s Jack and Jill and Children Activities I was taken back to these childhood memories. I had forgotten about trying to fly kites.

These magazines feature heartwarming stories, fun activities, and charming graphics that can bring out the child in all of us.

Party Planning and recipes were included.

A craft Ideas was included.

If crafts weren't your thing, there were stories and poetry to entertain you, and other activities even songs to sing.

January Journey Down Memory Lane-A Peek

January is for Ringing in the Newy Year, a time of new beginings and endings. For some it is a time of inner refletion and stating their resolutions for the new year.

The more the things change the more they stay the same. Going through my collection of vintage 1950’s Jack and Jill and Children Activities I was reminded of some new expreriences I want to try. These magazines feature heartwarming stories, fun activities, and charming graphics that can bring out the child in all of us.

The covers of the magazines showcase delightful graphics that evoke pleasant memories of the past. The illustrations inside are equally enchanting.

Each magazine also includes a mini cookbook with recipes for a complete meal and additional dishes. I think there have many fad diets taht have come and gone over the past seventy years. But loosing weight still contiues to be a popular new year's resolution.

After the meal, there are craft ideas to keep the children busy.

If crafts weren't your thing, there were stories and poetry to entertain you, or you could have a delightful sing-along around the piano.

The included calendars are fantastic and can even double as

coloring pages. One was already done by the child who this magazine

belonged to.
